About Me
I began my career in motorsport as a translator and writer for Spanish magazines like Autopista and Motor16. My work included translating racing and technical books such as the Autocourse Official Champ Car Yearbook and Competition Car Aerodynamics, among many others.
I have led or been part of the leading F1 news-editing teams at both Autosport.com and Motorsport.com for over 20 years working remotely, something which at the beginning of my career seemed out of reach and that I have mastered and taught others how to master over that period of time.
My career as editor began at AtlasF1, which was the longest-running F1 website before it was taken over by Autosport in 2005, when I joined as news editor and later becoming managing editor, working on editing and producing content for the world's leading racing website for a decade.
I joined Motorsport.com at the start of 2015 as the website was acquired by new owners seeking to turn it around and make it a real competitor at a time when the site was almost exclusively known for posting press releases and photo galleries. From the time I joined as managing editor, Motorsport.com grew exponentially both in terms of content, quality and readership, and it kept growing as top F1 journalists like Jon Noble decided to join.
In 2016, Motorsport Network acquired Autosport and I was a key part in the integration process between the two editorial teams. As a result of the merger, I helped lead an F1 editing desk with some of the world's leading F1 journalists.
From 2023, I've been Motorsport.com's editor, a job that, on top of news editing and content planning, has included managing other editors and writers, organising rotas, and working with the social media team, among many other tasks. My role has not been limited to working with F1 writers, but also with reporters covering MotoGP, WRC, WEC, and other series.
In 2024 I was asked to become the F1 editor to help with the communication and processes of the F1 team of reporters from Autosport and Motorsport. That role helped me gain a lot of confident in my ability to communicate and direct an editorial team covering breaking news and live events.
My roles at Motorsport.com have also included liaising with the local editions from different countries to use all the Network's resources as much as possible. That has involved communicating with dozens of editors and reporters from all over the world.
My main areas of expertise in motorsport are Formula 1 and MotoGP, although I have extensive knowledge of most popular racing series.
